News from The Openwork Partnership, who have a new member;

The Openwork Partnership, one of the UK’s largest financial services networks, today announces the addition of Royal London to its protection panel. Royal London joins Openwork’s already diverse and strong protection panel, with eight core providers to meet the growing demand from advisers for products and services in the market.

The panel review, which takes place every 5 years, involved a detailed assessment of all facets of existing and potential provider propositions, including their product offering, service delivery, technology, governance processes, financial strength, advisor support and marketing. The regular review enables The Openwork Partnership to ensure that the panel continues to provide network members with access to the very best available in the market.

Fortunately, the existing members of the protection panel all performed well in the review and retained their positions on the panel. The renewed protection panel now consists of Aviva, Guardian, Legal & General, LV=, Royal London, The Exeter, Vitality and Zurich, with MetLife for Accident and Children’s plans.

Royal London has been carefully selected for its profile and reputation for delivering high quality security solutions to customers.

Paul Shearman, Director of Mortgage and Protection Proposals at The Openwork Partnershipsaid: “Royal London is a great brand with an impressive protection proposition, making the already strong panel even more attractive and adding important solutions to the diverse needs of the market.

In addition, Royal London has innovative technology, supported by strong expertise in high net worth individuals, wealth and business protection, all areas that Openwork is keen to improve and develop. Royal London was the only player our advisors regularly requested, so I know their addition will be extremely well received”

Siobhan Barrow, UK Distribution Director at Royal London, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Openwork Partnership protection panel and our team looks forward to helping advisers provide a range of personal and business protection solutions that best suit their clients’ needs.

As we approach the first anniversary of the Consumer Duty, we are seeing increased demand for protection advice and products as it becomes an increasingly integral part of the advice process. It is an exciting time for protection advice, delivering positive outcomes for clients and new opportunities for advisers.”
